José Ferrer

José Ferrer (January 8, 1912 – January 26, 1992), was a Puerto Rican actor and director. He was the first Hispanic actor to win an Academy Award.

Alongside acting, José Ferrer is also known as a director.

José Ferrer's most notable role to date came in Lawrence of Arabia (1962), where he played Turkish Bey. He also appeared in Dune (1984) as Padisha Emperor Shaddam IV. Most recently appeared in The Caine Mutiny (1954) as Lt. Barney Greenwald.
