Marcel Dalio

Marcel Dalio (born Israel Moshe Blauschild; 23 November 1899 in Paris – 18 November 1983) was a French character actor. He had major roles in two films directed by Jean Renoir, Grand Illusion (1937) and The Rules of the Game (1939).

Marcel Dalio's screen work to date leans strongly toward Comedy and Romance, a consistent thread across his credits so far.

Marcel Dalio's most notable role to date came in Sabrina (1954), where he played Baron St. Foritanel. He also appeared in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1953) as Magistrate. Most recently appeared in The Mad Adventures of Rabbi Jacob (1973) as Rabbi Jacob.
