Matthias Hues is a German-born, naturalized American actor and martial artist. He was born in Waltrop, Germany, to Dr. Josef Hues and Maria Humperdinck Hues who still reside in Germany. Maria is the niece of Engelbert Humperdinck, composer of the opera Hansel and Gretel.

Alongside acting, Matthias Hues is also known as a martial artist.

Matthias Hues's most notable role to date came in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country (1991), where he played Second Klingon General. He also appeared in Dragon Wars: D-War (2007) as Bounty Hunter #1. Most recently appeared in Dark Angel (1990) as Bad Alien - Talec.
