Peter Benson

Peter Benson is a Canadian actor, writer, director, and producer for film and television, known for playing Detective Arthur Smith in Hallmark's Aurora Teagarden Mystery series. He is a graduate of the Vancouver Film School and also has an honors degree in Communications from Carleton University. He has been married to fellow actor Julia Benson since 2009.

Alongside acting, Peter Benson is also known as a director, producer, writer.

Peter Benson's most notable role to date came in Everything, Everything (2017), where he played Dr. Chase. He also appeared in The Baby-Sitters Club (2020) as Edward McGill. Most recently appeared in Hell on Wheels (2011) as Marshal Jessup.
