The rules of Power Rangers's world are consistent enough that the big swings never feel like cheating. It knows exactly what it is, and does not try to be anything else.

Sci-fi fans who want ideas alongside the spectacle will find Power Rangers genuinely rewarding. The tonal similarities to Big Hero 6 The Series are real, though Power Rangers carves out its own identity quickly. 30 seasons in, there is no shortage of material once you get started.
