Reunited Worlds

Korean television has a knack for doing more with less, and Reunited Worlds is a prime example. It's currently available in Australia on Netflix and Netflix Standard with Ads, and in the US on Netflix and OnDemandKorea, so there's no reason to keep putting it off. An 8/10 rating means the audience agrees.

Reunited Worlds follows a path that stands out in a crowded field. Although born in the same year, two childhood friends end up being 13 years apart because they have aged surprisingly at different places (worlds) for some strange reason. Now Eom Hyeon Soo is a 31-year-old woman but Sung Hae Sung is still a 18-year-old boy. Cha Won Yooung is a chef also interested in Eom Hyeon Soo. Yeo Jin-goo and Lee Yeon-hee lead a cast that brings real weight to the material. It aired in 2017.

If you're looking for television that takes its characters seriously and rewards patient viewing, Reunited Worlds is exactly that. One of the more rewarding dramas of its era.
