Rupert has the visual identity that makes it immediately recognisable, and the writing to back it up. The classic tales of Rupert Bear and his friends in Nutwood as they embark on magical worlds with enchantment, intrigue, and danger around every corner. Ben Sanford and Julie Lemiux lead a cast that brings real weight to the material. The series ran for 5 seasons (1991–1997), building a story that gave its audience time to invest properly.

Animation fans will appreciate the craft, but Rupert works equally well for viewers who don't typically seek out animated series — fans of The Looney Tunes Show will feel at home. The medium is secondary to the quality.
