Credit to Giovanni Ribisi and Marin Ireland for grounding it — this is a cast that earns the twists. 3 seasons (2015–2019) gave the story room most shows never get. What distinguishes the best crime dramas from the rest is whether the character work can carry scenes where the mystery takes a breath — Sneaky Pete passes that test consistently. It delivers reliably on what it promises, which is more than most of its competition manages.
