From Me to You: Kimi ni Todoke has built a reputation that precedes it, and right now it's all available in Australia on Netflix and Netflix Standard with Ads, and in the US on Netflix and Crunchyroll. Mamiko Noto leads a cast that brings something genuine to every episode.
Japanese production values give From Me to You: Kimi ni Todoke a feel distinct from American and international alternatives. Nicknamed "Sadako" for her spooky appearance, high schooler Sawako begins to break out of her shell when she befriends popular boy Kazehaya. Mamiko Noto and Daisuke Namikawa lead a cast that brings real weight to the material. The series ran for 3 seasons (2009β2024), building a story that gave its audience time to invest properly.
Animation fans will appreciate the craft, but From Me to You: Kimi ni Todoke works equally well for viewers who don't typically seek out animated series β fans of The Adventures of the Little Prince will feel at home. The medium is secondary to the quality.
