Not every great comedy makes it onto the major platforms, and The Trapalhões is a reminder of why it's always worth looking beyond the obvious. 19 seasons and 695 episodes of content is out there — TV Butler finds it for you instantly without the guesswork.
The Trapalhões does what great comedies rarely manage — it's actually funny, consistently, across the whole run. Os Trapalhões was a Brazilian comedy group and also a Brazilian television series created by Wilton Franco. Its members were Dedé Santana, Zacarias, Mussum and their leader Didi Mocó, that was played by Renato Aragão. The name Trapalhões is derived from the Portuguese verb atrapalhar, which means the opposite of helping, to do something the wrong way or to Those that confuse. Renato Aragão and Dedé Santana lead a cast that brings real weight to the material. The series ran for 19 seasons (1977–1995), building a story that gave its audience time to invest properly.
Ideal for when you want something light without wanting something stupid. The Trapalhões respects its audience — rarer than it should be.
