The world-building is meticulous, but it's the characters who carry The Walking Dead: World Beyond through the more ambitious episodes. A heroic group of teens sheltered from the dangers of the post-apocalyptic world receive a message that inspires them to leave the safety of the only home they have ever known and embark on a cross-country journey to find the one man who can possibly save the world. Aliyah Royale and Alexa Mansour lead a cast that brings real weight to the material. The series ran for 2 seasons (2020–2021), building a story that gave its audience time to invest properly.
