A woman, who is about to marry her longtime lover, encounters a man who looks just like her first love. Bae Yong-jun and Choi Ji-woo lead a cast that brings real weight to the material. It aired in 2002.
If you're looking for television that takes its characters seriously and rewards patient viewing, Winter Sonata is exactly that. One of the more rewarding dramas of its era.
