A budding love story between a medical student and a nurse takes place in May 1980, during a time of civil unrest and military oppression in Gwangju. Lee Do-hyun and Go Min-si lead a cast that brings real weight to the material. It aired in 2021.
If you're looking for television that takes its characters seriously and rewards patient viewing, Youth of May is exactly that. One of the more rewarding dramas of its era.
