Sharp writing and a well-matched ensemble are what separate Zig and Sharko from the crowd. On a desert island lives a starving hyena with one obsession: devour that delicious mermaid from the rock in the lagoon. But the lovely fish-girl’s best friend is a shark, a shark with a lot of muscle and who loves to sabotage the hyena’s every move. The series ran for 4 seasons (2010–2023), building a story that gave its audience time to invest properly.

Ideal for when you want something light without wanting something stupid. Zig and Sharko respects its audience — rarer than it should be.
