Unfortunately, Tony's lost the diamonds as well. As he frantically searches for his daughter and the jewels, Tony pairs with a high-kicking government agent who once worked with Ling and seeks revenge on him. Credit to Jet Li and DMX for grounding it — this is a cast that earns the twists. Cradle 2 the Grave came out in 2003. Cradle 2 the Grave is at its best in the quiet scenes between the plot beats, where the character work actually happens. It knows exactly what it is, and does not try to be anything else.

Viewers who think they have seen every crime drama tend to find Cradle 2 the Grave proves them wrong. It stands on its own even without an obvious comparison point.
