In the harsh, unforgiving desert terrain, the odds are stacked firmly against them as they discover there’s nowhere to hide from the unrelenting, merciless killer. Gael García Bernal and Jeffrey Dean Morgan lead a cast doing genuinely serious work here. It hit screens in 2015. What elevates Desierto is a refusal to let any character off the hook too easily. It delivers reliably on what it promises, which is more than most of its competition manages.
