Taking up arms to suppress a tyrant king, Bowen soon realizes his task will be harder than he'd imagined: If he kills the king, Draco will die as well. Dennis Quaid and Sean Connery lead a cast that brings real weight to the material. It was released in 1996. What separates DragonHeart from lesser genre entertainment is a willingness to let the concept cost the characters something. It delivers reliably on what it promises, which is more than most of its competition manages.
