There is a reason Jackass 3D keeps coming up in conversation. The jokes in Jackass 3D land because the characters underneath them are worth caring about. Johnny Knoxville, Bam Margera, Steve-O, Wee Man and the rest of their fearless and foolhardy friends take part in another round of outrageous pranks and stunts. In addition to standing in the path of a charging bull, launching themselves into the air and crashing through various objects, the guys perform in segments such as "Sweatsuit Cocktail," "Beehive Tetherball" and "Lamborghini Tooth Pull." The chemistry Johnny Knoxville and Bam Margera bring to it does a lot of the heavy lifting. Jackass 3D came out in 2010. Jackass 3D earns its laughs from character rather than situation, which is why it does not wear thin the way pure farce tends to. There is real craft here, even in the moments that do not fully land.

If you need a comedy that actually makes you laugh, Jackass 3D is a strong candidate. It has built its own audience without needing a direct comparison.
