Nuremberg arrived without much fanfare and built its audience the hard way — through word of mouth. Nuremberg takes its time building the world its characters inhabit, and the patience pays off. In postwar Germany, an American psychiatrist must determine whether Nazi prisoners are fit to go on trial for war crimes, and finds himself in a complex battle of intellect and ethics with Hermann Göring, Hitler's right-hand man. The performances from Rami Malek and Russell Crowe give it more weight than the premise alone would suggest. It was released in 2025. The performances in Nuremberg do a lot of work in the silences between the dialogue. It rarely drops the ball, and when it does, it recovers fast.

For anyone looking for storytelling that takes its characters seriously, Nuremberg delivers. It does not lean on comparisons to make its case. It is a manageable watch, easy to fit into a single evening. Rami Malek is the centre of it, and it is one of their strongest performances on record. The patience it asks of you early on is paid back with interest.
