Right now you can watch Forbidden Love Season 2 on streaming — and the writing holds up regardless of the format's reputation. The 1-season run is exactly the right length for what it is doing. 58 viewers have already rated it on TMDB — the kind of consensus that does not happen by accident. Beren Saat's voice work is a big part of what makes it distinctive. There is no real reason to keep putting it off.
Forbidden Love Season 2 is not trying to be everything to everyone, and that focus is exactly what makes it work. Visually distinctive and narratively ambitious, Forbidden Love Season 2 operates well above the genre average. Bihter and Behlül's love is now moving forward like a truck with broken brakes. Behlül, who is terrified of things going wrong and losing his uncle's financial and moral support for him, uses Nihal's interest in him to get away from Bihter and gets close to Nihal, proposing to her. These events cause Bihter's mood to deteriorate and she becomes ambitious to get Behlül back. Beren Saat and Selçuk Yöntem lead a cast that brings real weight to the material. It was aired in 2009. The animation style is distinctive enough to be immediately recognisable, but it is the writing underneath that keeps viewers coming back for more. It delivers reliably on what it promises, which is more than most of its competition manages.
Forbidden Love Season 2 belongs on any best-of list regardless of format. It does not lean on comparisons to make its case. A contained run means every episode is doing real work. Beren Saat brings more to the role than the format usually demands. A harder one to justify skipping than to start.
