He's just back from a business trip and their teen daughter Avery is sneaking out to a party, when four thugs in security uniforms and ski masks stage a home invasion. They want what's in the safe: cash and diamonds. Credit to Nicolas Cage and Nicole Kidman for grounding it — this is a cast that earns the twists. Trespass came out in 2011. What makes Trespass hold up is that the resolution matters less than how the characters get there. It delivers reliably on what it promises, which is more than most of its competition manages.
